Juventus unlikely to stop the Arsenal-linked midfielder from leaving this summer

Juventus will get rid of some players to make space for the new arrivals in the approaching summer transfer window.

A report from La Gazzetta dello Sport suggests that Massimiliano Allegri will not stop Arthur from leaving Juventus this summer. The Brazilian midfielder currently earns a net salary of €5million per season, which is considered a heavy load on the Old Lady’s wage bill.

As per the report, Arthur wanted to leave the club in January. But with Juventus failing to sort out his future in time, Allegri chose to keep the former Barcelona star at his disposal for the time being. But he has remained unconvincing in the eyes of the Juve management.

Arsenal have emerged as a potential candidate to sign the midfielder this summer, with Mikel Arteta thought to be a huge admirer of the 25-year-old. On the other hand, Juventus have been keeping tabs on Chelsea’s Jorginho, with the club looking interested in strengthening their midfield over the upcoming summer transfer window.
