Kevin Strootman set to join Verona in Marseille’s move for Darko Lazovic

Hellas Verona are set to sell Darko Lazovic to Ligue 1 side Marseille but they will also get to sign Kevin Strootman.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Verona are set to finalise the sale of Lazovic to Marseille, who have pretty much found an agreement with the Serie A side. Lazovic is also set to be close to finding an agreement over personal terms with the Ligue 1 giants.

Lazovic will head to France for a fee of €4 million to €5 million, with the Serbian currently expected to sign a three-year deal with Marseille. Strootman’s name also appeared in the negotiations between the two sides and the Dutchman is also set to join Verona.

He has agreed personal terms with the Gialloblu, who are now working on finalising the terms of a transfer with Marseille. Strootman had spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Cagliari, who ended up getting relegated. He spent the second-half of the 2020/21 season on loan at Genoa.
