Lazio have now opened talks once again to renew the contract of their manager Maurizio Sarri.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Sarri’s new deal at Lazio could actually be ‘imminent’, despite delays and postponements about the deal over the last few weeks because of the disagreements between the manager and the club’s management on transfers.
Sarri has asked for some guarantees for his project at the club as part of the new deal and he wants the club to actively participate in the transfer window in the summer. He is also willing to let one of the star players leave and that could very much be Sergey Milinkovic-Savic, but the money earned has to be reinvested in signing 5-6 players.
The next international break can bring about an agreement on the deal and the situation can materialise.
