Manchester United are now ready to put forward €100 million for Victor Osimhen in a potential deal involving Cristiano Ronaldo.
Corriere della Sera have claimed that a swap deal involving Ronaldo and Osimhen is something which has been talked about in a concrete manner in recent days. Aurelio de Laurentiis has a ‘strong temptation’ of bringing CR7 to the Armando Maradona Stadium and he’s been in constant dialogue with Jorge Mendes, whose idea has been accepted by the Napoli CEO.
United want Osimhen to lead their attack and are willing to offer €100 million to Napoli and are also willing to pay 85 percent of Ronaldo’s salary, since Napoli can’t afford to pay the Portuguese’s full wage all by themselves and want the Old Trafford side to pay a major percentage of it. As things stand, the Partenopei want €130 million for their Nigerian striker.
The report goes on to express doubts about whether Osimhen would be comfortable with the move at such a late stage in the season, despite his liking for the Premier League. But it is stated that if United meet the asking price, the deal can definitely happen.
