Milan’s move for Sven Botman under threat due to Man Utd, Tottenham and Newcastle interest

Milan’s move for defender Sven Botman is now uncertain due interest from Premier League clubs.

While Botman seemed to have been close to joining Milan from Lille, the move may be in jeopardy. Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Botman has a ‘great’ amount of following in Europe and the Rossoneri have failed to meet Lille’s asking price of €40-€45 million so far.

While the situation has changed, Milan do not want to give up on the chase of the player. There is strong interest from Manchester United, Tottenham and Newcastle, who all want him this summer. As a result, Botman is further away from the Rossoneri and that is opposite to the situation of Renato Sanches.

The deal for the midfielder could go through in the next few days, with personal terms agreed and both clubs trying to find a an agreement for the fee. The player is already in Milan and he could return to Lille as a Rossoneri player.
