Serie A champions Milan have held an exploratory meeting with the entourage of Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz.
Milan also saw Renato Sanches as a key midfield target but Paris Saint-Germain have entered the race for the Portuguese, threatening the Rossoneri’s move for the player.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have claimed that Douglas Luiz is seen as an alternate target for Sanches. While talks between the midfielder’s entourage and Milan were not a formal negotiation, they were just an attempt to explore potential options.
Carmelo Barillà, the agent of Gabriel Jesus, was also present at Casa Milan but the main subject of the talks with multiple agents was Douglas Luiz. The entourage of Roma’s Ibanez was also present but no talks were held for the Brazilian player.
Douglas Luiz though, has been linked with a move to Roma for a while now and Jose Mourinho is said to be a fan of the midfielder.
