Milan interested in Chelsea’s Edouard Mendy

Milan are interested in the possibility of signing Chelsea’s Edouard Mendy but a move remains complex for the Rossoneri.

Mike Maignan’s injury issues have complated Milan’s goalkeeping situation, even though the Rossoneri are trying to sign Marco Sportiello. But Maignan’s injury means that that they are in the market for a low-cost and short-term deal for a first-choice goalkeeper as well.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported for Corriere della Sera that the Rossoneri are eyeing a short-term deal in the market and Mendy is a name that is liked by the club. Even though the goalkeeper is a second-choice at Chelsea, a move for him is difficult because of the sort of deal that the Diavolo are eyeing.

The 30-year-old has played only nine games in the Premier League but in Chelsea’s recent league games, Kepa has become the regular between the sticks – especially under Graham Potter’s tutelage. Mendy has won the Champions League with the Blues, who were then under Thomas Tuchel.
