Milan take steps for Botman summer move

Milan are now taking steps to sign Lille’s Sven Botman in the summer.

Daniele Longo has reported that Milan tried hard to sign Botman this month but despite having acquired an agreement with the player, they couldn’t agree a fee with Lille. But as things stand, Milan are on their way to potentially signing Botman in the summer.

Botman said ‘no’ to Newcastle and he only wants to play for Milan and there is an agreement on a four-year deal, when it comes to personal terms.

The two clubs are looking at a deal of €27 million plus bonuses that could take the deal up to €33 million. Botman’s summer move is why Milan didn’t want to sign Abdou Diallo permanently. Eric Bailly was also linked with a move but the Rossoneri can’t sign the player on loan now as they don’t have spaces on their non-EU quota following the signing of Marko Lazetic.
