Serie A league leaders Napoli are set to make an offer of upto €15 million for Angers’ World Cup star Azzedine Ounahi.
Ounahi impressed in the World Cup with Morocco and the midfielder ended up catching the eyes of many clubs across Europe because of his performances. It was recently reported that Napoli have made contact for the Angers man.
Daniele Longo has now reported that Ounahi’s profile was on Napoli’s database of midfielder options for a while and they did have doubts about him before, but those doubts were dismissed after his performances in the World Cup and after contact with his agents, they are now set to make an offer.
Marseille like the player, but they can’t meet Angers’ asking price of €25 million for the midfielder. Napoli seem much closer in that regard and they are set to make an offer of an initial €12 million plus bonuses that will take the deal to upto €15 million.
Inter, who have been linked with the player, did make contact once but they are not in the running.
