Napoli yet to close door on move for Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo

Napoli are yet to close the door on a potential move for Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.

Gianluca di Marzio had reported yesterday that Napoli have been offered a chance to sign Ronaldo and Jorge Mendes is doing everything possible to get his client to play Champions League football.

Di Marzio has reported for Corriere della Sera that Mendes made contact with Napoli’s Cristiano Guintoli and the Partenopei sporting director heard what the agent had to say. The club are yet to close the door on a move even though they know that affording the transfer would be a very arduous task.

The costs of signing Ronaldo would be at around €30 million plus the image rights expenses. The image rights issues are what Aurelio de Laurentiis is generally very particular about and they could be an issue as well. But Victor Osimhen is in the way of Ronaldo and the Nigerian would only be sold in the case of a monstrous offer.
