OFFICIAL | Cesc Fabregas joins Serie B side Como

Former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has now joined Serie B side Como.

Fabregas’ contract with Monaco had run out at the end of the previous season and he was a free agent. He had become a bit-part player at the French club but his move to Serie B is now done.

Gianluca di Marzio had reported that Como had now deposited the Spaniard’s contract to the Serie B offices and that is why the move is officially done. The midfielder is set to join Como, whose CEO happens to be Englishman and former Chelsea player Dennis Wise.

Currently 35, Fabregas had joined Monaco in the summer of 2019 following his exit from Chelsea. During his time at Monaco, Fabregas made 68 appearances and scored four goals, racking up nine assists. Last season, he could play only two Ligue 1 games and played just once in the Europa League.
