PSG star Sergio Ramos opens up on on-field spat with Leandro Paredes against Juventus

Juventus‘ new signing Leandro Paredes shared a heated moment with Paris Saint-Germain star and his former teammate Sergio Ramos in the Bianconeri’s 2-1 defeat to the Ligue 1 champions on Tuesday evening.

Speaking to TNT Sports (as quoted by Itasportpress.it), Sergio Ramos admitted that he would not hesitate to kill the opposition for the sake of his teammates. He said:

“These are quarrels that arise on the pitch and that must remain there. In the end, everyone has to defend their interests. When the final whistle arrives, tighten your hands. hand to the opponent and it ends there.

“Instead, during the game, you have to be ready to kill for your teammates. There is nothing personal with anyone.”

The 28-year-old midfielder moved to Juventus on a season-long loan deal from PSG earlier in the summer, with the reports suggesting that Juve have an option to buy in the player’s contract.

Since moving to the Italian club, the former Roma star has made two appearances for the Old Lady. One of them also includes the match-up against PSG on the opening matchday of the UEFA Champions League 2022/23 season, where Paredes got involved in a scuffle with Ramos after the former had taken down Kylian Mbappe with an intense challenge.
