Simone Inzaghi offered a contract extension at Inter

Inter remain dominant under the stewardship of Simone Inzaghi, with the club showing interest in offering the manager a new contract.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that club chairman Steven Zhang has been highly impressed with the job of the former Lazio boss this season.

Consequently, irrespective of the result in their Serie A title race and the Coppa Italia final, the club hierarchy has decided to extend Inzaghi’s contract.

Inzaghi’s current contract at Inter runs until June 2023. Beppe Marotta and co. are considering extending that to 2024 with an option for a further year.

In the new contract, it is told that the manager’s annual net salary will rise to €5.5million from €4million. Having garnered 75 points from 35 matches, Inter stand second in the points table, with city rivals Milan leading the chart with 77 points from the same number of games.
