Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto wants to sign Barcelona’s Sergino Dest at Roma in the summer.
La Gazzetta dello Sport report that in the summer, the Giallorossi will take their full-back situation seriously and will look to increase quality and depth in that position. Ainsley Maitland-Niles is only on loan and both Rick Karsdorp and Matias Vina have had physical issues. Leonardo Spinazzola will be back at his physical prime next season onwards.
So Dest has emerged as a target for the Giallorossi, with Vina and Karsdorp not expected to be regulars. To raise cash, Roma will have to sell Alessandro Florenzi permanently and invest money from Justin Kluivert’s sale.
Dest would cost about €20 million and both Monaco and Ajax also like him. Roma like him a lot for his characteristics and profile.
