Tottenham interested in Veretout, sale could help Roma

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Roma’s Jordan Veretout and the finances gained from the move could end up helping the Giallorossi.

Il Messaggero have provided details about Roma’s midfield situation and the ins and outs in that position. They claim that while Amadou Diawara has attracted interest from Spain and Turkey and his sale could hand some funds to Roma, they may not be able to earn as much money to afford Tanguy Ndombele or Boubacar Kamara.

Kamara’s price will go beyond what the sales of Cengiz Under and Pau Lopez can allow and Ndombele’s wage could be an issue as well. Roma may have to pay 50 percent of Ndombele’s wage to sign him on loan.

But Veretout’s exit can help the club, as he’s believed to be in decline now and while Jose Mourinho likes him, the Giallorossi would consider offers for the Frenchman this month. Tottenham have come forward for him.
