The mother and agent of Juventus star Adrien Rabiot has, on Friday, provided an update on his future with the club.
The subject of midfielder Rabiot’s situation in Turin has of course long proven something of a headline talking point. This comes after the French international, amid intense interest by way of the Premier League, opted to put pen to paper on fresh terms at the Allianz Stadium during the summer.
The deal in question, however, lasts just a solitary year, ahead of Rabiot becoming a free agent once more in the summer of 2024.
Speaking to the media on Friday, it in turn came as little surprise when the possibility of as much was put to the always outspoken Veronique Rabiot.
In quotes secured by Sportweek, via Tuttomercatoweb, Rabiot’s mother-agent first explained:
“It’s too early to talk about it. At the right moment we will weigh everything up and, in the end, Adrien will decide as always.”
Turning focus towards the one-year agreement penned earlier this year, she continued:
“It was my idea. At first the club didn’t agree, but I got an extra year with a substantial increase. It is an innovative renewal.”
An absolutely integral figure in Massimiliano Allegri’s project, it has therefore been suggested that the Juventus brass are keen to tie the former Paris Saint-Germain talent down to a more-long term commitment as soon as possible.
