Agent of Sassuolo’s Armand Laurienté: “I know there are clubs interested”

The agent of Sassuolo star Armand Laurienté has revealed that clubs are interested in the Frenchman but no offers have arrived for the player.

Laurienté has impressed for the Neroverdi since joining and he grabbed a brace for the club in their 4-3 win over Roma yesterday. He also scored against Milan some weeks ago, having become a key part of Alessio Dionisi’s side this season.

Now that the Frenchman has been catching some eyeballs in Italy and abroad, his agent Roberto Meloni spoke to TMW about the future of his client. He revealed that while clubs are interested, no one has made any offers for Laurienté so far.

“At the moment there have only been enquiries. We intend to keep him quiet, then we’ll see what happens. We’re in no hurry, like the player. Then if the call comes we’ll evaluate it with the club. I know there are clubs interested, no offers, except for a few calls to get information.”

Before joining Sassuolo, Laurienté was close to joining Torino in the summer of 2022 but the move never went through. Meloni revealed that it was because of Lorient.

“The problem was with Lorient. They didn’t want to deprive himself of him and couldn’t give an effective price to the player, they didn’t reply to any official email. To anyone. Not even to Sassuolo. There has never been a meeting with Lorient.”

The 24-year-old has made 19 Serie A appearances this season and has found the back of the net seven times and has six assists to his name. This the highest number of goal contributions he has made in a single season at club level.
