Alex Sandro set to stay at Juventus next season

Juventus defender Alex Sandro is set to stay at the Bianconeri next season as the club will exercise a clause in his contract for a short extension.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported about the Brazilian’s situation, stating that Juve will exercise an automatic extension in the player’s current deal which will make sure that he stays at the Old Lady for only a season. But his deal at Juve will now run out in the summer of 2024 and after that, he will leave the club on a free transfer.

There was another clause in the player’s contract which allowed for Juve to terminate his deal for only €2 million but they have communicated to the player’s agents that the second clause is not being exercised and the Brazil international will stay at Juve for another season.

Alex Sandro will reach 300 Juventus appearances today against Torino and once that happens, his jersey will be displayed at the J-Museum alongside a host of club legends.
