Chelsea are extremely keen on signing Milan starting shot-stopper Mike Maignan ahead of next season’s Premier League campaign.
According to reports from French media news-outlet L’Equipe, via MilanNews, the Blues are eager to acquire the Frenchman, but the Rossonerri are not willing to sell the 27 year-old keeper.
As it stands, the London Blues are looking to offload their pair of keepers Edouard Mendy and Kepa as the Premier League outfits have not been impressed with their respective performances in recent period.
With Mike Maignan clearly unhappy with Milan’s decision to relieve club-legend Paolo Maldini from his duties as Sporting Director, Chelsea are hoping that the heated situation within the Milanese club can work in their favour.
Since joining the Rossonerri from Lille in for a fee of €15m, Maignan has peaked under Pioli and has played a vital role in helping Milan clinch the Serie A for the first time in eleven years last season.
Despite Milan against the idea of selling their star keeper, the current circumstances could cause Maignan to possibly submit a request to part ways with the Diavolo after two seasons at the San Siro.
