Dušan Vlahović on his Juventus future: “Guintoli and my agent are already talking”

Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović has revealed that talks are already ongoing between his agent and club sporting director Cristiano Guintoli over a renewal at the club.

Vlahović’s future in the summer was uncertain, but he chose to stay at the Bianconeri and there has been talk about him signing a new deal at the club soon, with the club also speaking to Federico Chiesa’s agent for a renewal.

The Serbian seems to have returned to form this season and while injuries have held him back, he did score against Inter in a vital Derby D’Italia recently. In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, the striker was asked about his future and he confirmed talks.

“I still have two and a half years left on my contract, we’re in no rush but Giuntoli and my agent are already talking. I’m very happy to be here.”

In the summer, the ex-Fiorentina man was linked with Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. He was asked about whether he thought about leaving the Old Lady in the summeer.

He said: “No, I was always sure I wanted to stay. The voices are always there and they are part of the game, if we start listening to everyone we can go crazy. I isolated myself and only thought about the pitch and in the end, I’m very happy to have stayed. It was what I wanted.”

The 23-year-old has played 11 Serie A games this season, scoring five goals and racking up one assist. While it still isn’t as much as he would like to score, Vlahović seems to be enjoying himself and has managed to form a very reliable partnership with Federico Chiesa.
