It seems likely that the result of Napolil’s game against Empoli at the weekend will decide Rudi Garcia’s future at the club.
The Frenchman has been under pressure at the Partenopei for a while now and the pressure seemed to be at an optimum after a loss to Fiorentina some days ago. But some wins put Napoli back on track, before they were held to a 1-1 draw by Union Berlin in the Champions League recently.
Sky Italia (via CN24) state that the upcoming clash against Empoli could well define Garcia’s future, with CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis currently at Castel Volturno to assess things. His presence is being felt at the club, with the Partenopei making assessments regarding Garcia’s future.
Napoli will not have a pre-game press conference tomorrow as they are in retreat, which in itself is not a good sign. De Laurentiis would ideally want Garcia to stay beyond the international break but the result against Empoli would decide a lot and this isn’t the first time the Frenchman finds himself at such a critical juncture.
