Fabiano Parisi was a breakthrough star in the Serie A last season, and Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Empoli and Fiorentina are currently embroiled in negotiations for the transfer of the young left back.
Parisi played well for Empoli last season, and his importance within the squad increased significantly. In 2021/2022, Parisi started 16 league games, but last campaign he started 33 games. His performance levels also improved markedly.
Paolo Zanetti himself, coach of Empoli, praised Parisi and said: “In my opinion there may be other opportunities, he can possibly aspire to different stages”.
Fiorentina want the 22 year old, and the fee being quoted is €10 million, plus €2 million in add ons. Parisi has been linked with Lazio and even Juventus in the last couple of weeks.
Parisi has also shone with the Italy U-21s. He took the field in friendlies against England and Japan, but above all he became the star during the 2023 European championship. He scored a vital goal in the 3-2 win against Switzerland.
