Fiorentina are inching closer to sealing the signing of Juventus midfield outcast Arthur Melo ahead of this year’s upcoming Serie A campaign.
DAZN Italia reports, via TuttoJuve, that both clubs have agreed on a loan worth €2m with an option to buy of €18m for the 26 year-old Brazilian international.
Since joining the Bianconeri in 2020 from Barcelona as part of a swap deal for Miralem Pjanic, Arthur has struggled immensely to impress within Italy, only scoring a single goal in 42 matches across all competitions.
Despite given a chance within the Premier League as Liverpool acquired the former Barcelona play-maker on a season loan, Arthur failed to seize his opportunity as a result of suffering numerous injuries, forcing him to remain at bay for the vast majority of the season.
As a result, Juventus are prepared to offload the 26 year-old with the hopes of acquiring former Milan midfielder Franck Kessie in order to fill the void within the central area of the pitch.
