Inter expected to seal move for Monza’s Carlos Augusto

Inter are currently expected to seal their move for Monza wing-back Carlos Augusto this summer.

Union Berlin moved concretely to sign Inter’s Robin Gosens recently are close to sealing a move for the German, who was also wanted to Bundesliga side Wolfsburg but that move didn’t materialise. With the 29-year-old nearing an exit, the Nerazzurri already have a replacement in hand.

Marco Conterio has reported that Gosens’ exit will fetch Inter €15 million and Augusto has been identified as a replacement. They have moved rather decisively for the Brazilian in recent hours and they are now expected to land him from Monza.

The deal has been closed for an initial loan deal with the obligation to buy set at €13 million. The 24-year-old will end up at the San Siro when Gosens departs. Last season, Augusto scored six goals and racked up five assists in Serie A and was one of the best wing-backs in the league.
