Inter set to move for Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun after missing out on Gianluca Scamacca

With West Ham’s Gianluca Scamacca now heading to Serie A side Atalanta, Inter are once again left to look around for other striker options and they are now ready to tighten their grip over Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun.

Alfredo Pedulla reports that once Atalanta had made a higher bid for Scamacca yesterday, Inter had decided to give up the chase for the Italian right then. They didn’t want to take part in any auctions, especially since they have options on their shortlist that they would look at.

Now, they will tighten their grip over Arsenal’s Balogun, who spent the last season on loan at Reims. Udinese’s Beto is another option and he is someone Inter could sign as a second striker signing if Joaquin Correa departs. For Balogun, Inter want to close the deal at around €35 million, with the American keen on joining.

It has been previously reported that while Balogun is an expensive signing, he would be someone who fixes the present issues and fixes the future as well. That is why he was high up on the club’s shortlist.
