Inter yet to start talks with Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku

Inter are in the process of considering the future of striker Romelu Lukaku who is slowly returning back to form after a long spell of injury.

According to a report from Daniele Longo in Calciomercato, the future of Lukaku in Italy is uncertain despite having a resurgence in recent form. The Belgian striker is currently on loan from Chelsea and a permanent deal would mean the involvement of considerable financial resources, which at present, seems tough for Inter.

Romelu Lukaku played a crucial part two seasons back when Inter won the Scudetto but since his record-breaking transfer to Chelsea, he has experienced a nightmarish period. The 29-year-old opened the scoring in the Nerazzurri’s last match against Udinese as he found the net from a penalty. He has been doing well in training and that has given Inter the option to decide on his future.

Inter haven’t started talks with the Premier League side as of now but things would be decided near the end of the deal. At present, chances are that Lukaku returns to England but Lukaku has the chance to change his future now by continuing his form.
