Jose Mourinho could leave Roma in the summer

Roma are at a substantial risk of losing Jose Mourinho in the summer, with the manager unhappy with the Giallorossi.

Sky Italia recently reported about Mourinho’s dissatisfaction with Tiago Pinto and another report from Sky Italia has provided more information about the situation. It is stated that Mourinho’s discontent is growing at the club and over time, his mood at the Olimpico has changed from being eager to being concerned and unhappy.

The reason for Mourinho’s unhappiness lies in the club’s ambitions and the Friedkins’ failure to comply with the promises they had made when the Portuguese was hired. Mourinho had been clear about his strategy at the club when he was signing the three-year deal. The first year was aimed at mentality building, the second one was meant to be one of building the foundations to win the Scudetto and the third one was for winning the title.

Mourinho realises that the project has now slowed down. He is happy with Pinto and has an excellent relationship with the players and he isn’t too disturbed about the transfer window activity. His real issue is the club’s planning as he believes that the title can’t be won with younger players such as Edoardo Bove, Benjamin Tahirovic and Cristian Volpato.

He wants the Friedkins to clarify their stance and dissolve any misunderstandings that may have crept up. Roma are thus, at an increasing risk of losing Mourinho in the summer.
