Juventus’ Juan Cuadrado subjected to racist abuse by Lazio fans

Certain Lazio fans had racially abused Juventus’ Juan Cuadrado during the Bianconeri’s 2-1 loss to the Biancocelesti at the Stadio Olimpico.

There has been a raft of incidents involving racism in recent weeks in Serie A and the most latest one involved Juventus as some of their fans had racially abused Romelu Lukaku, who had seen a second yellow card for his celebration against them. But the incidents don’t seem to have ended there.

Italian papers have pointed out to the incident, with La Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere della Sera (via Italy24) stating that Cuadrado was racially abused when he was substituted.

Various parts of the Italian media suspect that the Curva Nord was involved in the chants and there could be a ban of two games imposed on the Curva. Over the last few weeks, the Curva Nord has been involved in multiple other similar incidents and one involved Victor Osimhen, with another one involving Samuel Umtiti.
