Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and his agent want to make sure that Napoli add a release clause in his new Partenopei contract.
Il Mattino today have reported about Kvaratskhelia’s contract, talk around which has suggested in recent weeks that the renewal is close. The report states that the renewal is currently not close but there is a good relationship between the two parties and Aurelio de Laurentiis is currently in no hurry to renew a deal which began only 14 months ago.
Soon, Kvaratskhelia and his agent will present a request of €6 million per season and a release clause of €90 million. De Laurentiis does not think it will be easy to renew the deal on those terms but he is calm, as Kvaratskhelia has rejected offers from the Premier League – primarily Newcastle United, because he wants to stay at the Maradona. The Georgian will not make a fuss about the situation anytime soon, even though he earns €1.2 million per season right now.
De Laurentiis is taking his time to hold new talks for the renewal. Kvara’s agent will travel to Tbilisi with him on Sunday and talks will take place only later.
