Lazio’s move for Hugo Lloris back on the cards

Lazio’s move for Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris had fallen through some days ago but it seems to be back on the cards.

Lloris had rejected the move to Lazio initially, as he was expecting to have a meeting with manager Maurizio Sarri, who didn’t come forward to speak to the Frenchman. This left the goalkeeper feeling unwanted.

Marco Conterio has reported that the move is back on the cards, stating that the idea of a transfer is still very much alive. Lloris isn’t Sarri’s prefered option for the goalkeeper role but he enjoys the faith of Claudio Lotito but there is another issue that needs to be resolved.

Lloris doesn’t want to be a guaranteed starter, but he wants to be sure that he gets enough chances to rotate with Ivan Provedel and he wants to be offered the chance at the starting spot regularly. It remains to be seen if the move gathers pace, especially since many Lazio moves this summer have fallen through because of disagreements between Lotito and Sarri.
