English Championship side Leicester City look set to complete the signing of Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei on a loan deal until the end of the season.
According to Italian transfer guru Alfredo Pedulla, the recently relegated side, that are now coached by Italian Enzo Maresca, have beaten off interest from Serie A sides Genoa and Lazio to sign the midfielder.
The 20 year old enjoyed a very productive Under 20 World Cup this summer in which he scored seven goals and added two assists in his seven appearances.
The player is also no stranger to the English second tier as he ended last year on loan at Reading under former Inter midfielder Paul Ince.
It is expected that the deal would simply be a dry loan with no view to any kind of permanent deal as Chelsea hold the player in high regard as they splashed €15million to sign him from Inter just twelve months ago.
