Liverpool keeping tabs on Genoa’s Morten Frendrup

Premier League side Liverpool are keeping tabs on the situation of Genoa midfielder Morten Frendrup.

The 22-year-old Frendrup had joined Genoa from Brøndby in January 2022 and he has been a regular feature of the side for the Rossoblu since then, helping them earn promotion to the Serie A at the end of last season.

According to sources contacted by Get Italian Football News, the 22-year-old’s impressive performances at Genoa have attracted attention from Liverpool. The Reds are keeping tabs on the Danish midfielder, with the English club said to be observing him closely.

So far this season, Frendrup has played 12 times in the Serie A so far this season, racking up three assists. Alberto Gilardino’s side are 13th in the Serie A table, with Frendrup boasting of excellent ball-winning qualities.

The Dane has made 5.50 tackles plus interceptions per 90 minutes in the Serie A, which is the highest for any first-team regulars in the division. He has also made 6.92 ball recoveries per 90 minutes, which is the sixth best in the league. His ball-winning ability is also highighted by the fact that Frendrup has won 89 duels, which is the highest in the league.
