Manchester United have had a new bid rejected for Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat but dialogue between the two clubs remains ongoing.
Marco Conterio had reported yesterday that United will make another attempt late last night to land the midfielder and he has now reported that an offer was made last night. But Fiorentina pegged that back, with the Moroccan’s situation yet to be sorted out.
Despite the rejected bid, United’s efforts to sign Amrabat haven’t stopped. The midfielder is pushing to leave Fiorentina on deadline day and talks between La Viola and United remain ongoing, with discussions active for an initial loan deal with the option to buy for a fee of €30 million. There is a possibility that United could make another offer today for the 27-year-old.
Fulham did make a late bid to sign the ex-Verona man but Amrabat kept the offer on hold, as he continues to wait for a decisive approach from Old Trafford.
