Manchester United want to close Rasmus Højlund deal by the weekend

Premier League giants Manchester United want to close the deal for Rasmus Højlund at €70 million this summer.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that while United are keen on the 20-year-old, Paris Saint-Germain also remain interested in the player. The Parisiens offered a higher wage to the striker than what United have put forward, but Højlund wants to join the Red Devils and head to the Premier League.

Atalanta currently want €80 million in total for Højlund but United want to close the deal at €70 million plus bonuses, with the gap between the two sides reducing now. This week is likely to be quite vital in the whole saga with parties hoping to close the deal by the weekend. Some developments can be expected by this Sunday, with United the player’s desired destination this summer.

Personal terms have already been agreed and a verbal bid from United already having been pegged back in the past.
