Milan and Paris Saint-Germain ultras clash ahead of big Champions League clash

Milan and Paris Saint-Germain ultras clashed violently ahead of the big Champions League clash involved the two sides.

The reverse fixture had seen PSG pick up a convincing 3-0 win over Milan, and the result led to many fans doubting Stefano Pioli’s future as manager. But the second game takes place at the San Siro later today, as Milan look to win at least one game in the Champions League campaign.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that before the game, about fifty Milan fans clashed with PSG fans in the Navigli area. During the night yesterday, around fifty Rossoneri ultras attacked Paris Saint-Germain fans outside the Ripa di Porta Ticinese premises, using helmets and smoke bombs and then fled into via Argelati. Several policemen and vans arrived on site.

A French fan was left seriously injured after two stab wounds and was transported to the hospital. A police officer was also stabbed in the leg during the clashes and the attacker was quickly arrested. A second officer was hit by an object and injured his lip.
