Milan boss Stefano Pioli after Dortmund draw: “The boys were disappointed in the dressing room”

Milan manager Stefano Pioli has revealed that the Rossoneri players were left disappointed in the dressing room after the club’s goalless draw against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

Milan did put in a good performance in Germany but just like they did against Newcastle United, they failed to get all three points from the tie and they now have two points from two games in the group stages. Paris Saint-Germain lost to the Magpies, meaning that the English side are at the top of the table.

After the result, Pioli spoke to the press about the performance of the side and he seemed disappointed that the Rossoneri couldn’t get all three points.

He said: “The performance of the team that never gave up gives me satisfaction, the fact that we were solid and attentive is good, the performance of the two central defenders was of the highest level. The boys were disappointed in the locker room, because we wanted to win.”

He further stated, suggesting more criticism for the lack of finishing in the side: “Many things we do are positive, but we have not been concrete and cynical. I want to start again from the many positive things we are doing.”

While Milan haven’t won a game in the Champions League yet, their form has turned around since the loss to Inter in the league and they haven’t lost even once since then.
