Milan fail in swap deal for West Ham’s Gianluca Scamacca

Milan have reportedly failed to convince West Ham in a swap deal for signing Gianluca Scamacca this summer.

According to a report by Daniele Longo, Milan offered striker Divock Origi plus a transfer fee to Premier League outfits West Ham for signing Gianluca Scamacca a few days back. However, the proposal was rejected by The Hammerers who are interested in registering the Italian striker into their squad for the next season.

Scamacca faced a difficult debut season with West Ham filled with injuries and despite featuring 16 times, he couldn’t make the desired impact. Italian clubs were monitoring his situation ever since the striker made the move to England from Sassuolo and were hoping to pounce on whenever the Conference League champions felt unconvinced by the 24-year-old.

Roma seem equally interested as the Rossoneri in the striker but as the situation stands, both clubs have to wait as West Ham remain adamant in retaining him for the season.
