Rafael Leao has become one of Europe’s hottest targets over the past year, and due to this Milan are desperate for him to extend his contract which expires in June 2024.
Confidence has been boosted for Milan as Daniele Longo reports via Calcio Mercato, that Paolo Maldini expects to win over Leao and to tie him down with a new deal. Longo adds that this could happen as early as next week when Leao’s father Antonio is due to meet Maldini at Case Milan.
This is a meeting which has been on the cards for some time, with the view of finalising the deal and an expected €7 million per year offer awaits Leao.
It is expected that Leao is eager to sign a new deal with the Rossoneri, as he still has several goals to achieve at the club. However next week’s meeting will take place with the lawyer Ted Dimvula, upon who this all rests.
