Milan’s Christian Pulisic: “I dream of a goal against Inter in the derby”

Derby tensions are already on the rise in the city of Milan as fans are set to witness the first Milan derby of the new season this weekend.

Speaking in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport via TMW, Milan’s new signing Christian Pulisic offered his enthusiastic thoughts and his expectations of himself from the derby. He dreams of scoring a goal against Inter in the high-tension match and therefore said: “Scoring a goal, like every attacker. Or giving an assist, which is always nice. I want to play the derby and the Champions League, I can’t wait. We started off great, I know we’ll do the best we can and I want to win, which in the end is always the most important thing.”

The US international provided his preview of Inter and how both sides have been off to a flying start into the new season. He said: “Inter are strong and it’s difficult to play against them, as also demonstrated by the Champions League final. If I had to choose one quality, I would say that they know how to defend very well with a low block and at the same time have the quality to score goals on the counterattack.”

Pulisic has impressed in the start to the season so far, as he was brilliant in the club’s first game of the campaign and has taken that forward into other games as well.
