La Gazzetta dello Sport have mirrored something similar to what Sky Italia have reported, stating that a move for Mazzocchi is proving to be complex right now as Salernitana want โฌ4 million to sell the Italian. Napoli have only offered half that fee, meaning that the move is yet to progress. Salernitana have already rejected Napoliโs initial bid for the wing-back.

As a result, Napoli have looked at alternatives and a move for Faraoni has already been agreed in principle and depending on how things turn out on the Mazzocchi front, they would move for Faraoni. The arrival of a full-back would allow Alessandro Zanoli to join Genoa in January.
