Serie A champions Napoli continue to make attempts to strenghen their squad and have now made a new attempt to sign Celta Vigoโs Gabri Veiga.
The Partenopei had made an initial offer to the Spanish side for the playmaker and Fabrizio Romano has now reported that a new bid has been lodged by the Scudetto winners. Their previous bid was at โฌ30 million and it was rejected by Celta Vigo on Monday.
The new bid is at about โฌ33 million and that includes add-ons from the Partenopei, with talks ongoing between the two clubs in an attempt to reach an agreement. The 21-year-old has already agreed personal terms to join Napoli and he remains keen on the move to the Maradona this summer.
Piotr Zielinski has been linked with a move away from Napoli and Veiga could come in as a replacement for the Pole, who could yet end up at Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli.
