Scudetto winners Napoli are about to lose their sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli. The 51-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Juventus recently and seems to be on his way to the Bianconeri.
According to Romeo Agresti, Giuntoli will leave Napoli, with Juventus ready to make their agreement with the sporting director concrete. The Juventus correspondent adds that it’ll be important hours for the Bianconeri to define the future of the sporting direction. Juventus are yet to appoint a new sporting director and the free Giuntoli would be answer to their mangerial problems. Then, the club could finally turn their attention towards the summer transfer window.
Giuntoli, born in Florence, worked at both Spezia and Carpi before joining Napoli in 2015. The Partenopei already lost manager Luciano Spalletti and are about to lose another pillar to their recent success. Giuntoli has received many plaudits for building a Championship winning squad that fit Spalletti’s playing style. At Juventus, Giuntoli could start a new challenge.
