Napoli’s Luciano Spalletti set for sabbatical next season

Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti has made his decision about his Partenopei exit and he will take a sabbatical next season.

Sky Italia have reported that the Italian had already communicated his desire to leave Napoli during the dinner meeting he had with president Aurelio de Laurentiis two weeks ago. He now wants to leave Napoli after having won the Scudetto this season.

After Napoli’s win over Inter yesterday, Spalletti told the press that he has already made his decision and it is final. The club would soon make the decision public.

He will now take a sabbatical next year and that is because of a clause in his deal. His two year deal expires in the summer of 2024 and it states that if he leaves in the summer, he would not be able to manage a team next season.
