Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski rejects Al Ahli switch

Despite previous rumours stating otherwise, Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski has rejected Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported about the situation of the Pole, who was a key target for Al Ahli. Now, it is fairly likely that Zielinski is set to stay at the Partenopei. He initially had doubts about the move to Saudi Arabia and he has now definitely rejected the offer from them.

Now that he is set to stay at the club, Napoli will work on making sure that he signs a new deal and they will soon work towards that. Zielinski’s situation was unrelated to Gabri Veiga and whether he is going to arrive at the Maradona this summer or not.

It was initially reported that Zielinski’s family – specially, his wife, had concerns about leaving Naples and that was delaying Zielinski’s decision despite quite a prominent offer from the Middle East. Juventus were also linked with a move for the player some weeks ago.
