Newcastle United recently scouted Salernitana striker Boulaye Dia, who has been linked with multiple Premier League clubs.
The striker was heavily linked with a move to Wolves in the summer and controversy followed when the move didnโt go through, as the player went to France and didnโt return to the Salerno- based club for some days. He continues to be linked with other English clubs.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Dia was one of the players that Newcastle United sporting director Dan Ashworth kept an eye on during Salernitanaโs 2-2 draw against Milan on Friday evening at the Italian south coast. Dia wasnโt the only focus of attention for Ashworth though.
The Magpies transfersโ chief also viewed defender Lorenzo Pirola and midfielder Lassana Coulibaly. While this doesnโt suggest that the players are keen targets for the Premier League side, they are someone that the club could potentially look at for a move.
