Premier League side Newcastle United are interested in landing Lille striker Jonathan David.
Milan have been very heavily linked with the Canada international in recent weeks and the Rossoneri are keen on landing a striker to bolster their goalscoring department.
Marco Conterio has reported that David remains at the top of the Milanโs shortlist for strikers and a part of the appeal is the fact that his contract at Lille runs out in the summer of 2025 and that his value is currently at around โฌ35 million, which is fairly affordable for the Rossoneri.
But Newcastle have now entered their race for the 23-year-old and their inclusion could prove to be a problem for Milan. The Magpies have made contact for the player and have now tested the waters for the Canada international. It is likely that Milan will find it impossible to compete with the financial might of Newcastle United and that is why the Magpiesโ inclusion in the race could be a real threat to Stefano Pioliโs side.
