Olivier Giroud on Milan future: “We’ll think about it in June”

Olivier Giroud was giving an interview at an event at the San Siro Racecourse, and he spoke candidly about his future amongst other things, as reported by Sky Italia.

Giroud said: “Renewal? We’ll think about it in June, for now I want to do my best for Milan.” He went on to say how he has been missing the back of the net recently, although he may be being hypercritical as by most measures he has enjoyed a solid start to the season.

Six starts with a return of four goals and three assists would hardly have anyone complaining, but the Frenchman clearly sets himself lofty standards.

At the age of 37, he shows no signs of slowing down. This may be a trait that he has picked up from his recently former teammate, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Giroud also spoke about Milan’s Champions League campaign. He said that Milan had to win against Newcastle, and that Champions League nights make him feel special emotions.

Milan face off against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night and will be looking to pick up their first win in this seasons competition.
