Olivier Giroud set to sign his new contract with Milan today

Milanโ€™s Olivier Giroud is set to renew his contract with the Rossoneri, as reported by Sky Sport.

The striker reached a deal with the club for a new contract until 2024 with a salary reported of โ‚ฌ3.5 million plus bonuses. Giroud is expected to sign the contract this afternoon as the club found the agreement with his agent at the end of March.

His contract was due to expire in June. Last January, he received an offer from Premier League side Everton but he turned down the proposal, hoping to continue with the Rossoneri.

Giroud joined Milan in 2021 and since then he has scored 27 goals in 76 games across all competition, playing a key role in helping the team in winning the Scudetto last season.

He has been pivotal this season too as yesterday, he has scored the goal that allowed Milan to get through the Champions Leagueโ€™s semifinals knocking out Napoli.
