Piotr Zielinski set to leave Napoli this summer

Napoli star Piotr Zielinski is set to leave the Partenopei this summer, having won the Scudetto with them last season.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Zielinski will not sign a new deal with Napoli and he will thus leave the club this summer, with his current deal expiring in the summer of 2024. With Cristiano Guintoli also leaving Napoli for Juventus, the idea of including Zielinski in the move was spoken about it didn’t quite take off.

Guintoli would like to be released from his Napoli deal by Friday and if he doesn’t, a fee would have to be paid. But the idea of Zielinski heading to Juve didn’t catch much momentum. The Bianconeri are not looking to buy a player in that position but they will continue to monitor the Polish midfielder’s situation.

The 29-year-old made 37 appearances in Serie A last season, scoring three times and he had racked up nine assists.
