Rafael Leão unlikely to start for Milan v Inter in Champions League semi-final

Milan star Rafael Leão is now unlikely to start for the Rossoneri against Inter in the EuroDerby later today.

Leão has now arrived at the Milan team hotel and he will have lunch with the team before the game. While that is good news, considering that things seemed in doubt not long ago, Luca Bianchin has reported that the news isn’t too good and Leão is likely to only be on the bench for the Rossoneri.

It is stated that even if he makes it to the squad, the Portugal star will not start and at most, he will only be making it to the bench. He doesn’t seem to have recovered from the adductor injury and Milan do not want to risk him for the rest of the season, as they are in a top four race.

Bianchin states that it will be a massive surprise to see Leão start and that decision will come down to Stefano Pioli. It is stated that the Milan team hotel is quite close from where Leão underwent his medical tests and that is why he went there some minutes ago.

There is no official line yet but it doesn’t look positive, as Milan do not want to risk Leão’s presence for the rest of the season.
